Annual SoonerCon Festivus Party

The annual SoonerCon Festivus party will be held this weekend, Sunday, December 13th, at 6pm. It will be held at 5112 S Harvey Ave, OKC. The house is one block east of S Walker and SW 51st.

The Festivus Party is a fun celebration of the year, and a chance for all of the folks involved in SoonerCon, and those who want to be involved, to get together for a fun night. Arist Guest ofHonor - Besides creating wonderful Astronomical, Sci/Fi, and Fantasy paintings John stays busy as an illustrator for the education and advertising markets. With over 20 years of experience in commercial art he has recently ventured into the Sci/Fi Fantasy field. John's work has been chosen for numerous awards at art shows across the country and he loves to participate in convention activities. He and his very supportive wife share a home with three great kids, a guinea pig, a cat, a dog, and a blue parakeet named Paco.

SoonerCon 2010 Kick-Off Party - Saturday August 22nd!

The SoonerCon 2010 kick-off party is coming up on Saturday, August 22nd. It will start at 7pm, and be held at 1848 Hemingway Drive in Edmond, Oklahoma.

The theme is a Bubba BBQ. It will be a potluck meal, and I want to encourage folks to come dressed in their best "Bubba" costumes, and if possible bring a side dish or a dessert.

Kids are welcome, and we'll have games for them. For those that do want to drink, we're doing a trash-can punch. So those who want to, bring a bottle of liquor to donate to the punch.
