The subject says it all.

The Biltmore may have given the con a good rate, but I am willing to pay more for a clean room and fresh air.

I have great affection for SoonerCon, I've always had fun, enjoyed the hell out of being there and seeing old friends, the con staff has always been awesome!

But the Biltmore is a DUMP.

SoonerCon, the fans and the guests deserve better.

I was sick after the con, read on FB that others were sick, and I'm reasonably sure that the stinking, filthy conditions of the rooms and even the halls had much to do with that. Who can recall the raw sewage smell in the hall leading past the restrooms to the green room? I do.

They have no elevators, people were indeed smoking in the non-smoking rooms, the layout is awkward, the AC wasn't functioning in some rooms. Mine was smelly with mildew and cig smoke, the floor sticky with gawd knows what.

Having a swimming pool on the other side of a curtain--with the chlorine stink filling the air--not a good idea for a meeting space.

I love you guys; SoonerCon deserves better!

I love the con and want to see my friends, but if it's the Biltmore again next year, I'm staying at a cleaner, newer place and bringing a case of Fabreeze.
