Applying for an Artist Alley Table at SoonerCon

SoonerCon 29 is a pop culture convention occurring June 26-28, 2020 at the Embassy Suites Hotel & Conference Center in Norman, OK. Artists get exposure to more than 3,000 fans of anime, comics, gaming, pop culture, fantasy, sci-fi, art, film, TV, and literature.

There’s no cost to apply. Here’s how it works.

  1. Click Apply for Table below. Note: we do not offer half tables.
  2. Fill in all requested information on the application form. Completing the application form does not guarantee a reservation of space at the convention.
  3. Check your email regularly. If your application is accepted, you’ll receive an email outlining the reservation process and a link to pay for the space. If you do not complete the steps outlined in the approval email including full payment or alternative arrangements within 14 days, your spot will be released for other artists to reserve.

Approvals will be prioritized using the following criteria:

  • Returning Artists
  • Participating Panelists
  • Order of Submission
  • Variety of Products Offered

Note: Although the Artist Alley closes on Friday and Saturday evening, it is located in the main hallways and accessible during the full convention hours. Artists are encouraged to tarp their tables and secure their art during evening hours.

What’s the difference between Artist Alley, the Art Show, and Club tables?

The Artist Alley (what this page is all about) consists of approximately 60 tables lining the hallways of the main conference space. Artist Alley tables are ideal for networking, taking commissions, and selling prints. Space in Artist Alley is intended for individual artists and writers. Two weekend memberships are included with table reservations.

The Art Show is an art gallery. Artists display and sell their artwork in the silent auction without having to babysit it. Additionally, pieces that get enough bids in the silent auction by Saturday afternoon go to the live art auction on Saturday evening conducted by SoonerCon staff. Artists who have a Friday or Weekend Membership to SoonerCon will have the chance to meet potential buyers at the art reception on Friday evening. Check out the SoonerCon Art Show for more info.

Club Tables are intended for clubs, organizations, and conventions – not individuals. Each Club table comes with two weekend memberships. Club space is located in the Exhibitor Hall. Sales and fundraisers at Club tables are prohibited without prior written permission from our club coordinator. Check out the Clubs page for more info.

Additional Memberships for approved and paid exhibitors: up to three, $30 in advance or $50 at the door.
